History project is helping inform a documentary on endangered right whales

When Vicki Szabo, associate professor of history, finished her 2008 book on medieval whaling, she quipped in the acknowledgements she would remember all her WCU colleagues when it was made into a feature film.

WCU hires Agner as external relations director, deputy chief of staff

WCU announced today that it has hired Christy R. Agner, of Raleigh, to serve as its external relations director and deputy chief of staff. Agner will begin working in the roles Feb. 1.  

Longtime faculty member creates new endowment to reward service in CEAP

There soon will be a little something extra in the year-end award stipends for faculty and staff members in the College of Education and Allied Professions who are recognized for their contributions of service to the university and the region.
